Short sleeve, smocked tartan shirt dress in a lightweight, cotton mix fabric. The tartan is predominantly pale orange in colour, with crisscrossing vertical and horizontal stripes in white. It has a front opening that buttons with small mother-of-pearl buttons and the short puffed sleeves are gathered to the shoulder. It has a white, turn-down Peter Pan collar and white thread smocking machine embroidery over the chest. The waist has wide vertical eyelet holes which are threaded with a white satin ribbon tie and the skirt of the dress is gathered to the waist seam.
