      SCOUT JACKET
      Louis Vuitton
      Spring Summer 2014
For Kim Jones’s fifth menswear collection for Louis Vuitton, he took inspiration from a road trip across America, referencing various menswear archetypes such as the preppy, broker, frat boy, biker, scout and hippie. This khaki patchwork jacket is constructed from two distinct hues of cotton drill, with side panels and underarm panels made of cotton sweatshirting. It is decorated with numerous embroidered patches, including a rabbit, a hand forming a peace sign, a moon map, a mountain range and a Louis Vuitton patch. The back features three large pennants embroidered with the name Louis Vuitton in addition to images of the Rocky Mountains, a desert with cacti and a map of the moon.
