Scope and content

Long sleeved, cotton dress / evening shirt. Pulling on over the head, it has a neckband collar to which a detachable collar could be fitted via worked stud holes on neck band [two at front and one stud hole in at back of neck]. A further two studs would have fastened through the buttonholes on the placket beneath the collar [vertical buttonhole on the left, horizontal on the right]. The stiffened cuffs of the sleeves would also have fastened via studs or cufflinks. The shirt has stiffened, piqued, rounded, bib front and two pleats that lead from this bib to the hem. The shirt is long in length so it remains securely tucked in. The hemline is longer at the back than at the front and there are splits at either side seam.
