Padded face mask made of olive drab green vinyl with cotton lining and head straps. The mask is a rounded oblong shape designed to cover the whole face. It has cutouts for the eyes, nose and mouth. Over the nose and mouth are tabs that can be fastened with press studs. The mouth closure also has breathing holes. It is shaped under the chin and has a throat protector. The head straps attach at five points around the mask and can be adjusted with buckles. The outer layer is vinyl which has been quilted and stitched through to the cream fleece padded lining. Maker's label printed to the inside of the throat guard.

This face mask was first issued by the United States Army in the 1960s to troops stationed in Norway and the Arctic. It is designed to be worn with the M65 cold weather uniform. It is made of padded olive drab vinyl and can be adjusted with a series of head straps.
