Note
In May 2020 UK police services developed and procured face coverings and guidance for the forces. It was decided that they would not be worn when dealing with public order situations, rather they were for officers when they could not socially distance from each other.
This face mask was worn on Saturday 14 June 2020 by an operational police officer. They were attending a policing welfare van to assist the officers on the ground who were policing protests by right-wing extremists and protests by the Black Lives Matter movement.
