Scope and content
Multi-coloured quilted face mask with 'NHS' design. The style of the lettering is based on the official NHS logo but in red with a white outline. The background of the lettering is inspired by the 'Bruised Banana' 1991/93 Arsenal away t-shirt design. The mask has black loops on each side, quilted from the same material to go over the ears. It is triple-layered, without a pocket for filters.

Britain’s National Health Service tries to avoid becoming a political football, but these masks were designed to appeal equally to people's passion for their favourite football team and as a way of openly expressing support for the NHS. The background is based on Arsenal FC’s ‘Bruised Banana’ away shirt worn between 1991-1993.
