‘Great British Designer Face Coverings’ is a project which has seen the leading British and American fashion designer community unite, to create face coverings that can help instill public confidence, during a time of crisis. These reusable face coverings offer and alternative solution to single-use plastic coverings and do not deplete essential PPE items for healthcare workers. Essential funds will be raised for community charities through the proceeds of the sale of these coverings.
A portion of the profits from the sales of face coverings will be donated and split between BFC Foundation Fashion Fund for the Covid Crisis (British Fashion Council Foundation, Charity Number: 1099686) and the Council of Fashion Designers of America Foundation, Inc. supporting its diversity and inclusivity initiatives.

About BFC Foundation Fashion Fund for Covid Crisis
The BFC Foundation Fashion Fund for the Covid Crisis was established in March 2020 to support creative fashion businesses and individuals to survive the Coronavirus crisis. The BFC, through its charity the BFC Foundation, made £1,000,000 of emergency funds available with the majority supporting designer businesses and with a portion of funds allocated to students, underpinning the future generation of creative talent.

£15 for three masks
In collaboration with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) the British Fashion Council released their second range of designer face coverings in December 2020. The designers were Ahluwalia, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, and Marques'Almeida for the BFC. Mara Hoffman, lemlem by Liya Kebede, and Kim Shui represented the CFDA.
