Jean Paul Gaultier launched the Junior Gaultier line in 1988. It was designed as a lower-priced range aimed at the youth market. The Junior Gaultier label was replaced in 1994 with JPG by Gaultier, a unisex collection.

Scope and content

Black cotton single breasted jacket with turn down notched lapels. It is trimmed over the shoulders and down each side seam under the arms with wide webbing striped in maroon and yellow. The cuffs are made of ribbed cotton knit in stripes of maroon, cream and olive green. It has two large patch pockets at the hips with curved bottom seams which have been sewn over the webbing. It fastens with three black plastic buttons. The jacket has two rayon covered shoulder pads and is cut away with curved fronts. It has no vents or lining. The inner seams have been finished by overlocking. Size 52
