Administrative history
Take 6 was established by brothers Sidney and Leonard Brent with a third partner, Jack Collins. They had started out in the 1950s with a barrow on Romford market in Essex before opening their first shop, called Brent & Collins, in the town. The shop sold clothes aimed at young men interested in fashion and the Italian look that was the current style. Sidney Brent began designing because they had difficulties sourcing the styles they wanted from wholesalers. They opened Take 6 boutiques in London's Soho including on Great Marlborough Street and Wardour Street.
