      USAF ANTI-BLACKOUT Z2 COVERALLS
      Berger Bros. Co. Inc
      1950

The Z2 coverall was designed to prevent pilots from blacking out when flying. Under acceleration blood can pool in the lower half of the body, depriving the brain of oxygen. These Anti-G suits incorporate tightly-fitting trousers with bladders that inflate, pressing on the legs to stop blood draining from the upper body.
