HI-VIZ POLICE UTILITY VEST
Yaffy
2014
The introduction of The Police (Health and Safety) Act 1997 established police officers as employees for the purposes of health and safety legislation. This meant that the Health and Safety at Work Etc. Act of 1974 and its regulations were now applicable to the work of police officers. As a result of this, some of the most significant uniform changes to come were safety related, including the introduction of stab-proof vests and high-visibility jackets. Due to the evolving demands of modern policing and the amount of equipment officers are required to carry, tactical uniforms are now routinely worn. This vest has compartments for rigid handcuffs, CS gas (a form of tear gas), a baton, a flashlight, first aid equipment, Taser cartridges and a Taser gun.
