Black wool single breasted vest or waistcoat - part of a three-piece suit. It has a v-neck and fastens down the front with six black buttons. It has four slanted pockets - two chest and two at waist. The fronts were pointed but have been altered by taking up the points to the underside and stitching. The back is made of black cotton sateen and has a back strap with a black japanned two prong metal buckle with 'BRITISH' embossed into it. It is lined in cream striped cotton. There is a factory label on the inside of the left top pocket.

Single breasted sleeved waistcoat (part of a suit of waistcoat and trousers) in grey wool with six small black plastic shank buttons to the front. It has a turn down lapel at the front and no collar. There are two matched pairs of horizontal jetted inset pockets on either side of the centre front. The sleeves are made of heavy duty grey cotton grey with a red pinstripe and have dark grey cuffs. It is lined in black synthetic material. The back of the waistcoat is longer than the front and there are small vents in each side seam. It has the original factory label to inside front of the waistcoat with measurements and sticker with date stamp 'Apr 80'.

Zip fastening centre front - Simoo' brand - one patch pocket to left chest, two large patch pockets with flaps at the hips, two sections of gathered cotton webbing slots for shotgun shells above the hip pockets. Zip and buttons on the back where a detachable pocket would have fastened (missing).

It has two shallow slant welt pockets on the front and has a brown viscose lining back with adjustable back cinch with gunmetal slider held in position by a loop just to the left of the centre back. The waistcoat is lined in cream cotton.

Black velvet waistcoat with pink acetate back. It has four pockets, two angled welt breast pockets and two flap pockets. It fastens with five gilt orb shank buttons with a sixth decorative button. The front is lined in pale pink acetate which also constructs the cinched back. Part of a selection of suits that Vivienne Westwood made for iconic hairstylist Sam McKnight from women's fabrics selected by McKnight, who worked with Westwood in the early 1990s before the launch of Westwood's MAN collections in 1996.
