            Bright pink cotton long sleeved shirt with very large rounded collar and a ruffle front which conceals the buttons. The ruffle is in two layers and is gathered down the centre. The shirt fastens with six white plastic buttons (the top one visible). The cuffs are gathered with two rows of stitching and fasten with one button and one side of each cuff is sewn back (the right cuff has come unstitched). It has an inverted pleat in the centre back sewn to the yoke. Size M

            Long sleeved shirt made of multi-coloured silk patchwork. The patches are squares which have been sewn togther to create a fabric and then each seam of the patchwork has been oversewn. It has a long rounded collar and fastens centre front with seven mother of pearl buttons. The cuffs fasten with two mother of pearl buttons. Most of the silks are plain, a few are shot in two different colours. Size 16. The patchwork fabric may have been made in India.

            Button down shirt with black and white op art print and contrasting white pointed collar and cuffs. The centre front has facings on both sides to ensure a clean placket with no top stitching interfering with the print. It is secured with six clear plastic buttons and there are a further twobbuttons securing at the peaks of the collar and one at the pointed centre back collar. The cuffs have one button fastening each. The shirt has a patch pocket sewn onto the left breast, a back yoke and a curved hem.

            Previous owner purchased the shirt from the H.P. Wasson Department Store "Mod Shop" in Indianapolis, Indiana during his senior year of high school in 1966.

            White silk long sleeved shirt with braid trim and stand collar. The silk has slubs and a matt surface on one side and a satin finish on the underside. The shirt fastens at the neck with a press stud (one side missing) and buttons down the centre front with five plastic buttons hidden by a placket. The braid trim is made of loops of different types of apricot coloured and gold threads and is sewn around the collar, cuffs and down the centre front. It has a vent in the centre back and gussets in the sleeves near the cuffs to create a wider opening.

            Cream silk dress shirt with two detachable stiffened collars. The shirt has fold up cuffs for cufflinks and five centre front buttons. The top button is fastened with a stud which also attaches the collar stand to the shirt. There is another hole in the back neck to secure the collar to the shirt.

            Long blue cotton shirt with dark green and green alternate stripes and detachable collar. The shirt is finished with white top stitching and features a placket that finishes half way down the shirt with three white mother of pearl buttons to close. Both the collar and white cotton faced collar stand have three white button holes ready for the attachment of collar to body. The back of the shirt has short two piece yoke with a centre box pleat below. The cuffs are wide with four button holes on each in the absence of two cufflinks per cuff. The detachable collar is short and curved and has been 'Trubenised' - the process of stiffening a collar without the use of starch. The shirt is 'sanforized shrunk' which was a pre-shrunk material guarantee (Sanforized was the American method, Rigmel was the British method). The shirt has a curved hem with curved side vents finished with triangular tabs on either side. It has a 'CC41' Utility label.
