Signed attestations stating why the individuals concerned are unable to enlist and are instead joining the PVTC. The attestations include age, occupation and Club affliation and sometimes an address. Some have an attached statement giving more details. All have affixed slips stating whether or not the attestations were accepted.
Volume one is indexed. The first attestation in volume 1 is for JEK Studd whose reasons are given as 'age and varicose veins'.
