'The following document is divided into two sections: The first, written by the president of the Students Union, is a non-controversial description of events up until the beginning of September, 1968. The second is the personal analysis of Edward Davoren (BSc Economics II), one of the student representatives on the staff-students-Governors liaison body. Council does not necessarily support this analysis but believes it should be read by students and staff so that they can decide individually on its validity. Union council believes that this document will provoke further discussion and that this discussion should use parity of voting representation as its basis.
