Edited by John Else and Phil' ap. Glasbrook and illustrated by 'smed'. Cover photograph by Sally Burgess. The first handbook produced by the students as an unofficial guide to the social activities at the Polytechnic.

Mitchell) President of the Students' Union; The Union and You; Your Mascot (The Firkin Stag's Head [photograph]); History of the Union; The Union Today; Polytics [sic] and the Fresher; Social Life (including photographs of Miss Poly); Students' Carnival; Pram Pushing Race; Acquisition of Mascots (including the Rag Agreement and photographs of the Poly being raided by Brixton College and vice versa); Annual Students v. Staff Soccer Match; Societies (Architectural, Conervative, Social Science, Socialist and C.N.D. [including photographs of a march to Aldermaston], Officer Training Corps, Linguists, Theatre Visiting, Singers, Music, Players [including photographs of The Crucible], Film, Car and Mountaineering Clubs and Societies; Sport at the Poly (Rugby, Soccer, Table Tennis, Boat, Sub Aqua, Swimming); 'Fine Feathers!!!'[notes on women's dress at the Polytechnic]; The Library; Bookshops; 'Blessed are the Hungry' [recommended restaurants in the vicinity including Schmidt's, The Pizza House, The Devonia, The Madras and Jollys Sandwich Bar'; Theatres and cinemas [lists of telephone numbers and a map].

The publication also includes a large number of advertisements relating to student services (e.g. Banking) or career opportunities. The advertisers are listed in an index at the back of the volume.
