说明
The lighthouse was completed in 1855 and was the first prefabricated cast iron lighthouse built in Australia. It was built from segments shipped from Britain and bolted together on site. In the late 1970s a new lighthouse was built on Troubridge Hill. In 1981 the Troubridge Island light was fully automated and demanned. Alexander Gordon was a director of the Royal Polytechnic Institution.
