        History

The first mention of the rowing society was through a report in the McGarel in November 1979, about how there was no team that was apart of the society to participate in The Fours Head of River competition that took place. Training would usually take place in Chiswick. In January 1982, the society hoped to form a girls crew, so that new members could use more of the facilities at Chiswick. The society in December 1982 competed in the Reading Regatta. In February 1983, the society entered three crews into a race in Burway near Staines.
