Terms of Reference: to integrate Polytechnic's plan and resource policy, review and recommend to Academic Council Polytechnic's academic development plan and its implementation strategy; to initiate planning of inner-faculty development; to oversee allocation of all resources required to implement the Polytechnic's policies; to advise Court of Governors via Finance and General Purposes and Academic Council; to oversee efficient use of staff resources; development accommodation policies and methods; policy decisions of expenditure on Academic Resources and non-teaching materials.

Members: 1 member of the rectorate (chair), pro-rectors, deans, financial controller, head of computer services, head of library services, Student Union president, 1 representative from teaching staff of each faculty, 1 representative of Research Higher Degrees Committee, 1 representative from Student Services, 1 administrative/clerical member of Academic Council, 1 technical staff member of Academic Council, 1 Student Union member of Academic Council, 1 Lay Governor from Finance and General Purposes Committee.
