Hand-coloured postcard. Image shows a group of four (two men and two women) on the lake shore. One woman is seated, one standing, both carrying parasols. Both men are standing, one leaning against a tree. There is a low raised wall with planted stone urns between the group and the lake, and a grassed area to the other.

Inscribed: 'Lucerne. Arrived safely. Both well. Weather very fine there and the grounds of the Chalets [illegible]. Staying at Mrs ?Says. She will [illegible] fully later. Love [illegible]'.
