Personal memorabilia relating to Brian Shenton, winner of the Studd Challenge Trophy in 1953. Including:
- Certificate of Award of the Studd Challenge Trophy for the best Athletic Performance of the year by a member of the Polytechnic YMCI. 100yrds 9.8s; 100m 10.7s and 200m 21.5s. Represented Great Britain throughout the season. Signed by Bernard Studd.
- Certificate of Award by the Darlington Combined Sports Association for the equalling of a Ground Record at Feethams, Darlington on 11 August 1952 for 100yrds in 9.7secs.
- Dinner menu for the 5th Annual Dinner of the Smestad Club, held at The Polytechnic Restaurant, 309 Regent Street on 14 July 1951. President of the Club - Jack Crump; Founder Member - Oslo 1946 - Bernard Elliott; Visitors - Harold Abrahams and K (Sandy) Duncan. Signatures on verso.
