File of correspondence, generally with Hon Secretary A. H. Stenholm, covering: competitions and match reports, finances, equipment hire, membership enquiries, correspondence with other clubs including the Amateur Fencing Association and Polytechnic Ladies Fencing Club. Correspondence with Lord Hailsham on the presidency of the club and with C McKenna on trophies, instructors, facilities, dances, facilities, subscriptions and the inclusion of the Fencing Club within the wider Sports Club. The file also includes results of the Empire Games 1948, newspaper cuttings of fencing events, list of Amateur Fencing Association Fixtures for 1947-48, AFA score sheets, set of club rules, blank headed paper and a membership list for 1945-46. The file concludes with correspondence from 1943-44 concerning plans for recommencing activity of the Polytechnic and the Fencing Society at the end of WW2.
