British Army
Full length raglan sleeved rubbed motorcycle coat worn by French military occupation forces in Germany, 1945. It has an olive green wool collar and is double breasted and can fasten both ways, providing ample wrap. There are three large rounded metal shank buttons on each side with a central tab that fastens to a flat button at waist height. It has two large flat pockets and a slanted right chest jetted pocket. The pleated cuffs have adjustable tabs with two buttons on each. It has a large central back pleat and a long buttoned single back vent.

Tailcoat made from an olive green wool. As with the traditional tailcoat design, the front of the coat is cut away and stops just around waist length. The skirt of the coat at the rear is split and has has two tapering sections or 'tails.' These finish at approximately knee length. The coat is double breasted with a black velvet collar with pointed lapels. Fastening at the front, there are six gilt, metal buttons [not original] and four metal, shank buttons covered in black and olive green silk brocade. There are three gilt buttons and two fabric covered buttons on either side of the opening, which fasten through button holes on the opposing side of the opening. The coat is unlined.

Khaki blazer with cream contrast stitching. There is a notch lapel covering a line of security stitching holding back the facing. The jacket is unlined, with facings on the hems finished with contrast stitching. The centre front closes with three brown buttons and cream button holes. There is a double jet pocket on the chest, closed with a button. The side panel is shaped into a curve panel finished with a line of tripple top stitching, with the inside panel shaped with a top stitched dart. The curved panel continues into the underarm where it cuts off the front sleeve seam. Both the front and back sleeve seam, and curved seam are finished with tripple top stitching. The centre back and back seams are finised in the same way, with a single vent in the centre back. The jacket it entirely unstructured. Made in Japan.
Issey Miyake
Double breasted jacket made of black polyester and polyurethane mix fabric. It has six plastic or horn dark brown buttons and fastens with two. There are two large patch pockets at the hips with flaps of black double layer grosgrain and one angled inset pocket at the left chest. The cuffs fasten with four small plastic or horn dark brown buttons with working buttonholes. The main body of the jacket is unlined, the sleeves are lined in black viscose. Dark blue Lanvin label on the inside left chest pocket.

Dark brown sleeved liner jacket. Dark blue quilted body features a mix of two argyle stitches which overlap each other. Five metal poppers used for centre front closure. Two corduroy welt pockets on each side of jacket fronts. Dark brown corduroy bias binding finishes the neckline, front closure and hem of jacket. Lined in an acetate turquoise fabric with a half moon shaped patch of pink fabric at the centre back. Label featuring 'Joe Casely- Hayford' located at back neck. To be worn underneath 2021.6.2.1.

Dark brown sleeveless corduroy jacket. Features two bellows pockets with pocket flaps on either side of the front. Four buttons for centre front closure. Classic stand collar finished with top stitching and a buttoned tab across collar. Jacket has a centre back seam and vent. Jacket is fully lined with pink fabric and features a welt pocket on the left breast. Label featuring 'Joe Casely- Hayford' located at back neck. The jacket is designed to be worn with sleeved quilted under jacket [2021.6.2.2].
