            Beige cotton and polyester mix trench coat with pale mushroom pink nylon lining. It has removable epaulettes which button through tabs on each shoulder, removable straps at the cuffs which fasten with a metal buckle, and a removable waist belt which fastens with a metal buckle. It fastens centre front with three plastic buttons and has angled pockets at the waist with deep welts with two buttons on each. There is a strap at the neck which fastens with a metal buckle and a silver coloured metal chain hanging loop at the back of the neck. At the back is an inverted pleat from waist to hem which is gussetted and fastens with a tab and button.

            Pale beige double breasted trench coat made of Dacron coated polyester/cotton mix fabric with matching belt. It is lined in viscose woven in a brown, black, red and white check pattern. The coat has six cream plastic buttons (fastens with three) buttoned epaulettes on the shoulders that can be removed and buckled tabs around the cuffs that can also be removed. The buckles on the belt and cuff tabs are brown moulded plastic.

            Black robe style asymmetrical coat with a single button at the waist for closure. Vertical, jetted pockets are found at the side seams on either side of the waist. At the reverse there is a seam across the shoulders and a pleat the runs vertically from the centre of this down the length of the cent to the hem. The coat is unlined. Issey Miyake

            Black and white houndstooth wool tweed coat with a shawl collar and wide padded shoulders. The turn down collar around the back of the neck is finished with a fine grey check wool and there is a bound buttonhole in the left side of the collar. It has four pockets on the front: two large patch pockets at the hips and above them a smaller jetted pocket.There is a hanging loop sewn to the outside centre back of the coat near the collar. It fastens centre front with two plastic buttons and has short vents (no buttons) in the cuffs. The main body of the coat is lined in black rayon and the sleeves are lined in white striped rayon. There is damage to the inside sleeve linings near the cuffs including cigarette burns and fraying - the coat has probably been worn with the sleeves rolled up. Size S

            Alexander McQueen Cable Knit Overcoat A/W 1999

            For A/W 1999 McQueen experimented with cable knitting to make pieces other than sweaters. This overcoat is made from a thick black wool sweater knit in a cable design, constructed into McQueen's signature men's topcoat. The front placket has four hidden buttons. Two side pockets at waist level, and two vertical slit pockets at chest level. 17" centre back vent. Main body lined in black cotton, sleeves in black satin rayon.

            Single breasted jacket with curved fronts, one button closure and peaked lapels made of grey herringbone patterned fine wool. The jacket fronts are cut with an elongated shape and curved fronts creating a skirted effect. The button hole is off-set down the left hand side of the jacket front so when it is buttoned a loose horizontal drape is created.
