The shirt has two, large, pleated chest pockets with button down flaps. The hemline of the shirt is rounded and is longer at the back than the front, with splits at each side seam.

Cape in a light brown / dark cream, waterproof, nylon fabric. Cape has a pointed collar and fastens at the front via five poppers. Angled slits sit at each side of the front which enable arms to be threaded through. These are concealed by flaps to maintain the cape's waterproof nature and are fastened closed by poppers. Cape has a vent at the back with a single popper fastening.
British Armed Forces
V neck jumper made from a khaki green woollen fabric. Jumper has oval elbow patches and rectangular shoulder patches which are made from a khaki cotton drill fabric. There is a button stitched to a corner of each shoulder patch and there are openings at each shoulder [possibly to allow equipment to be attached]. The neckline and the cuffs are both ribbed.

Padded shoulder harness in a hard wearing green cotton fabric. Yoke has adjustable straps and buckles and is designed to distribute the weight of the equipment attached to it evenly across the shoulders and back of the wearer.

Small rectangular pouch made from a hard wearing, khaki, canvas fabric. Pouch fastens with a textile strap that feeds through a metal buckle. A small rectangular pocket with a flap and metal twist fastening is on the right side of the pouch. Clips on the reverse of the pouch enable the pouch to be fastened to a belt or harness [like 2022.36.17].
British Army
Long cut mackintosh in a khaki green, rubberised cotton. It has a turn down collar with a hook and eye fastening where the collar meets the lapel. The coat is front fastening via four brown, tortoise shell buttons on a concealed button placket. Just above the third button on either side of the concealed placket sits the corresponding parts of a small, adjustable strap and buckle fastening which can be adjusted for added security. A small, slanted, jetted pocket can be found above this. Above this pocket, is a rounded triangle of the mackintosh fabric attached to the inner of the coat by two buttons. This can be attached to the collar as a 'throat guard' when required. On the front of the jacket there is a large, flap pocket on either side of the opening at waist level. The mackintosh has an adjustable waist belt with a buckle fastening that threads through two large belt loops to the reverse of coat. There is a 59cm vent at the reverse of the jacket that runs up from the hem. The inside of the mackintosh is s half lined with a brown and orange cotton plaid. Large, welt pockets are found on either side of the opening on the inside at chest level. Two triangular vent sections with brass eyelets can be found under each armpit.
British Army
Trousers made from a heavy, woollen twill fabric in a khaki brown colour. Trousers are front fastening via five khaki, plastic buttons [one missing] on a concealed button placket. There is a pleat at either side of the opening. On the waistband there is a hook and eye fastening and a concealed button on an extended tab. On the inside of the waistband are six sets of two plastic buttons, placed at regular intervals, to enable braces to be worn and adjusted. The outside of the waistband features three belt loops and waist adjuster tabs at each side seam for added security. At each hip, there are slanted pockets which sit just forward of the side seam. At the reverse there are two flap pockets, each fastening via a plastic button. A side mounted map pocket with a flap and button fastening can be found on the upper left leg. The inside of the waistband, pockets and fly are lined with green cotton serge fabric.

White cotton waist belt with a point at one end. Towards the pointed end of the belt there are six button holes. At the other end of the belt there are 3 button holes and a single small, white, plastic button. There is a traditional belt loop that loops the whole way around the belt width wise and a 13cm strip of fabric that is stitched onto the belt horizontally to keep this in place.
