        历史

Jewish family-run tailors Kashket & Partners was established in London by Alfred (also known as Abraham) Kashket MBE (1914– 77). The Kashket family was originally from Poland and Russia, and their name is derived from the term for the felt hats worn by Hasidic Jews. Alfred Kashket was one of the founding members of Loughton Synagogue in Essex after moving to London in the 1920s. He built relationships with the royal household and the military, and from its beginnings, the company has specialized in formal, military and ceremonial tailoring for private clients, as well as winning contracts to supply dress uniforms for the Ministry of Defence. In 2006 they bought Firmin & Sons, the then 329-year-old badge and armour manufacturer, out of administration. Kashket & Partners were appointed official tailors for Prince William’s wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011. They were responsible for making William’s red Irish Guards officer’s uniform, as well as the outfits worn by Prince Harry, pageboys and 2,000 other military uniforms.
