Pale blue hand knitted cotton jumper with a high round neck. It has two burgundy stripes around the top of the left arm and a large ‘A’ knitted into the front of the jumper. The ‘A’ is in cream purl stitch and it has been outlined in burgundy plain knitting stitch. It has wide rib alternating plain and purl at the neck, cuffs and around the bottom of the jumper. There are plaited green and yellow threads hanging from three corners. The sleeves have a diagonal stripe pattern of orange, blue, red and green. The cuffs, waistband and neck are a wide rib. The neck is edged in orange, the left sleeve green, the right sleeve red and the bottom hem grey. Made in Great Britain.

Jumper, Guernsey or gansey, of dark blue knitted wool with ‘RNLI’ embroidered in red stitching on the centre front. It has distinctive stitch patterns including ribbing at the top of the sleeve, to mirror a sailing ships rope ladder; a garter stitch panel depicting breaking waves and stitching on the sweater shoulders representing pebbles, stones and sand. It features a traditional diamond gusset at the underarm for ease of movement. The hem has a garter stitch welt and two slits in the hem line.
