adidas adizero 5-Star 3.0 Cleats (studded football boots) with synthetic printed upper with a dark blue and white camouflage print, white plastic soles and studs and dark blue laces. The boots print pattern is reminiscent of the dazzle camouflage employed during World War I. However, the print was inspired by the automotive industry's prototype testing procedure, which uses a similar camouflage pattern to conceal the design lines of prototype cars during road testing.

Trousers made from fine mesh decorated with circular white plastic [PET?] sequins which have been hand painted/sprayed with a camouflage pattern in yellow, black and olive green. The top waistband and lining is made of cotton camouflage fabric and there is one rounded black patch pocket on the front which fastens with a gold metal coloured YKK zip. Part of outfit for Look 5 of James's graduate collection.

James found the Yellow / Green / White camouflage fabric as part of warehouse clear out at an east London fabric store and he paid about £2.50 / metre for the roll. The sequins have been hand sprayed as nowhere on the roll did the pattern repeat. The trouser has an elasticated waistband and has camo printed cotton details. The fabric was key to the collection and used throughout by James 'as it was subverting something so masculine and functional into something camp and frivolous'.

Smock or cagoule made of camouflage print fabric with hood and drawstring fastenings. The camouflage design has been printed, part of the design is reflective. Elements of the pattern have been filled in by hand with gold and copper coloured strokes. Part of outfit for Look 5 of James's graduate collection.

James used a pattern taken from 1980’s vintage K-WAY which was then adapted. The reflective camouflage cotton fabric was found as deadstock roll from Brick Lane market. He paid £1 a metre for the lot and then used extra large gold and bronze POSCA markers to hand draw the gold parts directly onto the fabric. The laser cut bonded pockets on sleeve and gold work around the zip at chest pocket (and zip pullers / reflective bungee cord) were donated after a visit of James to Berghaus in Sunderland.
