The jacket is made of dark blue waterproof nylon and comes to just below the waist with a large hood. The front of the jacket is fastened with both a zip and Velcro weather flap. It is made of two layers, with air trapped between the two designed to keep the wearer warm. The jacket has two pockets, both of which have a large Velcro flap. The hood has a large peak, and two crossing adjustment straps that can be tightened to create a tight seal against the top of the head. These straps are secured with four metal slide buckles. There are two buttons on the waistline above the back vent separating the two tails. Both cuffs have four buttons. It has distinctive shoulder padding on the shoulder blades to create a more a more structured silhouette. It is fully lined with an internal breast pocket on the right side and another pocket in the left tail. Both pockets have production labels sewn into them. It is fully lined with top half in white cotton and lower half in grey viscose. It has two internal pockets with button closures that sit along the seam between the contrasting linings.
