Grey green plastic waterproof trousers with attached elastic braces. They fasten centre front with a zip fly with 'OPTI' on the pull tab and two metal press studs. They have velcro fastening tabs on the side waist for waist adjustment. The cuffs also have tab adjusters which fasten velcro and press studs. There are two OPTI zip fastening pockets, one on each hip.

Navy blue fulled wool jacket or tunic with stand collar and removable red wool cord braid and two tassels. The jacket has two pockets at the hips with flaps. It fastens centre front with seven brass shank buttons embossed with a crown and fouled anchor emblem (insignia of the Royal Netherlands Navy). The stand collar has an insignia badge on each side on a red wool base with yellow double stripe braid. There are epaulettes on each shoulder which fasten with a small brass button embossed with the fouled anchor and crown. The epaulettes also have a large gold coloured metal badge of the fouled anchor and crown pinned to them. There is a chevron badge of two red stripes on the left sleeve at the shoulder. Two large metal hooks at the waist for a belt (which is missing). The jacket is lined in black rayon and has red quilting stitching around the front and under the arm of the lining, also in the lining are two straps made of black rayon which are sewn under the arm and have metal hooks that attach at the waist. It has a tailors label sewn onto the lining and another inside the left inside pocket.

Black narrow leg trousers made of mixed fibres (wool outer mixed with a synthetic for the inner) with two OPTI zips that spiral down the right leg. The fabric was designed for ski wear for Schoffel. One is shorter and goes from the right hip around the right rear and finishes at the right inner leg seam at the top of the thigh. The long zip runs from the left side waist around the right leg to the cuff. The waist fastens with a triangular tab sewn to the left side seam and metal press stud. The owner altered them for a better fit by hand sewing a length of black elastic into the inside waist. Size M

Dark brown leather duffle-style coat with removable hood. The hood has a drawstring and attaches to the coat with a bronze coloured YKK zip. The coat fastens centre front with a bronze coloured YKK zip and four tortoiseshell coloured plastic toggles with bronze coloured metal tips and leather loops. It has deep pockets at the front waist with Velcro fastening flaps and vertical 'handwarmer' pockets above. The body of the coat and the hood are lined Burberry Nova check made of 50% cotton and 50% polyester. The sleeves are lined in light brown polyester. It has a plaited leather hanging loop at the back of the neck. Factory label inside the front right waist pocket, cleaning instructions and material label sewn to the right side lining seam. Size 52

Khaki green and blue fine check cotton shirt. It has a patch pocket on the left chest with a tab that is sewn across the top of the pocket and fastens with one mother of pearl button. The shirt fastens centre front with six mother of pearl buttons and also has tabs under each sleeve at the armhole which button with one mother of pearl button. The collar and stand have been cut in one (difficult technically to do) with a line of stitching at the point of the fold and has a shallow v-shaped notch at the centre back. It has side vents and the lining of the back yoke and left front edge opening is made of pale grey striped rayon. Size 4

Olive green cotton bomber jacket with raglan sleeves and triangular stitched quilting over the shoulders which are lightly padded. It fastens centre front with a YKK metal zip with a tab in the same green fabric as the jacket and has two angled zip pockets at the hips. The stand collar has four rows of stitching and an elasticated section at the back. The hem of the jacket also has four rows of stitching and is elasticated in two sections on each side. Each cuff fastens with a black plastic button. There is a binding inside the collar and down the inside of the zip which is embroidered with 'c.p. company' and a star. There are two areas of spots of discolouration (fading) to the bottom of the front left of the jacket.

Blue cotton cap with ear flaps and a neck flap at the back. The neck flap rolls up and fastens with two metal press studs. The cap has a machine embroidered badge on the front in yellow thread in the design of an eight pointed star shape surrounding a circle with 'SUIDAFRIKAANSE POLISIE SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE' around a coat of arms. It has a stiffened peak which is sewn with four rows of stitching. The ear flaps each have a large eyelet bound with blue stitching. On the underside of the peak is a label with 'South African Police O/R's field cap' handwritten.

Beige cotton and polyester mix trench coat with pale mushroom pink nylon lining. It has removable epaulettes which button through tabs on each shoulder, removable straps at the cuffs which fasten with a metal buckle, and a removable waist belt which fastens with a metal buckle. It fastens centre front with three plastic buttons and has angled pockets at the waist with deep welts with two buttons on each. There is a strap at the neck which fastens with a metal buckle and a silver coloured metal chain hanging loop at the back of the neck. At the back is an inverted pleat from waist to hem which is gussetted and fastens with a tab and button.

Long sleeved shirt made of multi-coloured silk patchwork. The patches are squares which have been sewn togther to create a fabric and then each seam of the patchwork has been oversewn. It has a long rounded collar and fastens centre front with seven mother of pearl buttons. The cuffs fasten with two mother of pearl buttons. Most of the silks are plain, a few are shot in two different colours. Size 16. The patchwork fabric may have been made in India.

White silk long sleeved shirt with braid trim and stand collar. The silk has slubs and a matt surface on one side and a satin finish on the underside. The shirt fastens at the neck with a press stud (one side missing) and buttons down the centre front with five plastic buttons hidden by a placket. The braid trim is made of loops of different types of apricot coloured and gold threads and is sewn around the collar, cuffs and down the centre front. It has a vent in the centre back and gussets in the sleeves near the cuffs to create a wider opening.
