Quintin Hogg Esq with Edward Bannister Esq - agreement as to premises situate at No 307 Regent Street supplemental to an indenture of underlease dated 12 May 1860

Indenture made 2 June 1887 between Edward Bannister (sole surviving Trustee of William Mountford Nurse who d. 16 May 1883) on one part and Quintin Hogg on the other. Supplemental to an Indenture made on 12 May 1860 between James Thomson (1) and the Polytechnic Institution Ltd. (2) being an Underlease of a portion of the premises known as No. 307 Regent Street to the said Institution for the term of 51 years at a yearly rent of £250.
Whereas the premises of the said Indenture of Underlease expressed to be demised are now vested in the said Quintin Hogg for the residue of the term thereby created.
This Indenture recognises and sanctions various alterations made by Quintin Hogg.
Also states that the use of the premises is 'for purposes of an Institution analogous to that known as the Young Men's Christian Institute' (no dancing, theatrical performances etc.)
