Alpaca wool knitted jumper in wide stripes of fawn, browns and grey with a faint overprint of black numbers (a 2 and a 7) and two partial boot prints toward the top of the front above the stripes. It has a wide neck and the neck opening, hem and cuffs have a natural roll as they have no rib.

Cotton knit jumper or sweater with V-neck. The rib welts at neck, cuffs and bottom edge are navy blue with a knot pattern half-way up the rib. The main body and sleeves are patterned in navy blue and olive green with a cream stripe borded by two burgandy stripes at the bottom of the sleeves, around the bottom and around the neck. Pale blue hand knitted cotton jumper with a high round neck. It has two burgundy stripes around the top of the left arm and a large ‘A’ knitted into the front of the jumper. The ‘A’ is in cream purl stitch and it has been outlined in burgundy plain knitting stitch. It has wide rib alternating plain and purl at the neck, cuffs and around the bottom of the jumper. United States Navy Chief Petty Officer Uniform - Pullover

Navy blue wool sailors pullover or jumper with large square collar which is embroidered with two white five pointed stars. The collar, lapels and cuffs are trimmed with three rows of white braid. Each cuff fastens with two navy blue plastic buttons engraved with an anchor and rope design (the navy foulded anchor). The left shoulder has a square patch badge with a motif of an eagle embroidered in white thread over the insignia for an aviation electionics technician (two overlapped ovals with wings, two stars and four dots) and two red chevrons. Lower down the left arm is a navy blue patch badge with two red diagonal stripes. On the right shoulder is a badge with 'CARAEWRON 12' (Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron) in white stitching. Under the collar at the back of the neck is a square cotton makers label - the printing has faded away - handwritten on it is 'THOMPSON'. It has 'SLT' stencilled in white on the inside back neck. There is a small inset pocket on the left breast. The pullover is worn with the medal and black tie.
