Blue cotton cap with ear flaps and a neck flap at the back. The neck flap rolls up and fastens with two metal press studs. The cap has a machine embroidered badge on the front in yellow thread in the design of an eight pointed star shape surrounding a circle with 'SUIDAFRIKAANSE POLISIE SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE' around a coat of arms. It has a stiffened peak which is sewn with four rows of stitching. The ear flaps each have a large eyelet bound with blue stitching. On the underside of the peak is a label with 'South African Police O/R's field cap' handwritten.

Black cotton and vinyl peaked cap with detachable enamel and metal badge (part of a uniform of jacket, trousers and cap). The cap has a black vinyl crown and faded black cotton band. The stiff peak is black with a green underside and the lining of the cap is black cotton. It is stamped with BR and 6 1/2 in a roundel. The lining sweat band is leather (in poor condition). The enamel badge is red and brass coloured metal with 'BRITISH RAILWAYS' in a sans serif font and 'J PINCHES LONDON' on the back. There is some damage to the enamel.

It has been hand embroidered in dark gold braid and threads in a pattern of five-pointed leaves which circle around the silk thread covered button in the centre of the top of the cap and around the cap edges. The button fastens a long fine braid tassel. The cap is lined in machine quilted brown silk in a pattern of horizontal lines.

Dark blue wool school uniform cap with hand embroidered badge. The cap has a round crown made of triangular panels and a short rounded peak. The shield-shaped badge is hand embroidered in yellow, red, white, blue and black threads. The shield is split in half vertically. The right side has a blue animal above a black curving (nebuly) division, with three red diamonds on a white background. The left side has three lions passant in red and yellow. It is lined in black twill cotton and has a cream cotton tape sewn across the inside of the crown with hand written text crossed out in black pen.

Peaked cap made of blue-grey wool and black woven mohair band around the crown. It has the emblems of the Royal Air Force at the front: a gold coloured metal eagle over a goldwork embroidery wreath, surmounted by a red velvet and gold wire embroidered St Edward's Crown emblem. Around the front of the hat crown across the peak is the chinstrap - two thin bands of patent leather that cross over each other and are kept in place with loops of the same material. The top part of the crown of the cap has a piped edge and there are two black metal eyelet holes on the left side. The inside hat band is tan coloured leather and the top of the crown is lined in brown semi-transparent plastic.

Cream cap with purple and pink striped tape edge. The side of the cap extends down to cover the ear, with a bound edge hole to the ear on the flap. The ends of the flap have a length of cotton tape which tie under the chin to secure the cap. The front panel has an embroidered Sidney house pheon azure (broad arrow) in purple thread. Made in UK
