GPO Duffel Coat

Dark navy blue wool duffle coat which fastens with four wooden toggles and loops. 'GPO' is stitched in red machine embroidery onto dark navy wool patches which are sewn onto each collar front. The toggles are attached with cream cotton cord cords down the right side of the front of the coat. The loops are made of the same cream cotton cord. It has two large patch pockets to lower front. Adjustable strap with button fastening to lower sleeve. Unlined. Size 3.

Blue grey short Royal Air Force 1972 pattern No. 2 Service Working Dress jacket with centre front zip fastening. It has a turn down collar and lapels with two angled pockets at the chest, each fastening with a zip. There are epaulettes on each shoulder and tabs with buckles and sliders at each side seam near the hem to draw the waist in. No rank insignia. Royal Air Force
British Army 'Battledress' Trousers

Trousers made from a heavy, woollen twill fabric in a khaki brown colour. Trousers are front fastening via five khaki, plastic buttons [one missing] on a concealed button placket. There is a pleat at either side of the opening. On the waistband there is a hook and eye fastening and a concealed button on an extended tab. On the inside of the waistband are six sets of two plastic buttons, placed at regular intervals, to enable braces to be worn and adjusted. The outside of the waistband features three belt loops and waist adjuster tabs at each side seam for added security. At each hip, there are slanted pockets which sit just forward of the side seam. At the reverse there are two flap pockets, each fastening via a plastic button. A side mounted map pocket with a flap and button fastening can be found on the upper left leg. The inside of the waistband, pockets and fly are lined with green cotton serge fabric. James Smith & Co. (Derby) Ltd
