The pamphlet begins with a brief history of the Polytechnic and an overview of its educational, social, athletic and spiritual activities. It goes on to detail the cost and benefits of membership of the Men's and Women's Institutes and list associated sports clubs and societies. The pamphlet concludes with a brief summary of religious activities and educational facilities.

Small green volume labelled 'Amateur Fencing Association, Patron... His Majesty the King, Report for the year 1951' and with a logo depicting an épée with laurel wreath and the letters 'A.F.A.'. The report contains: list of officers, committee and sub-committee members and information on competitions, membership, subscriptions, fencing licences, coaching, events and preparations for the 1952 Olympics. Also contains financial balance sheets and reports from the Ladies' Amateur Fencing Union, A.F.A. local sections and other associated bodies. The report concludes with lists of associated bodies, affiliated clubs, members, presidents of competition juries, judges, competition winners and fixtures for 1951-52. At the end of the volume are several advertisements for fencing equipment.
