            Red melton flat cap with black plastic peak. A detchable adjustable band is attatched based on the front of the cap and is attatched with two brass buttons. An internal leather band is stitched around the rim of the cap there is also a velvet band stitched across the front of the plastic peak in whch the plastic peak sits within.             Dark blue wool school uniform cap with hand embroidered badge. The cap has a round crown made of triangular panels and a short rounded peak. The shield-shaped badge is hand embroidered in yellow, red, white, blue and black threads. The shield is split in half vertically. The right side has a blue animal above a black curving (nebuly) division, with three red diamonds on a white background. The left side has three lions passant in red and yellow. It is lined in black twill cotton and has a cream cotton tape sewn across the inside of the crown with hand written text crossed out in black pen. Unknown

            Peaked cap made of blue-grey wool and black woven mohair band around the crown. It has the emblems of the Royal Air Force at the front: a gold coloured metal eagle over a goldwork embroidery wreath, surmounted by a red velvet and gold wire embroidered St Edward's Crown emblem. Around the front of the hat crown across the peak is the chinstrap - two thin bands of patent leather that cross over each other and are kept in place with loops of the same material. The top part of the crown of the cap has a piped edge and there are two black metal eyelet holes on the left side. The inside hat band is tan coloured leather and the top of the crown is lined in brown semi-transparent plastic. Royal Air Force

            White PVC Bike Helmet with Castrol England transfer on front. Helmet has a peak on front, and curved seamlines across top scull. Helmet is padded with corkboard with a layer of foam. It secures with a strap across two side and one back flap. The side flaps are secured to the back flap with a buckle on each side. Helmet has adustable pull chord around top of sweatband. THe inner of the hat has two crossing lengths of cotton tape for suspension from the top of the skull

            MK1 Dispatch Riders helmet made by BMB [Briggs Motor Bodies] of Dagenham. Metal shell which has extensive all-over rust. Cream cotton canvas webbing liner straps with padded coarse wool felt liner for additional stability. Tan leather support inside the crown and dark brown leather ear flaps and support at the back of the head which are lined in beige wool flannel with two cream wool felt pieces to cover the ears. This is adjustable by lacing via eight metal eyelet holes with separate black cotton lace. The thin leather chin strap fastens with a metal buckle and is broken away from the right ear flap.

            Pith helmet covered in sequins with a brass coloured metal top. The white sequins are on a mesh base and have been hand painted/sprayed with a yellow and grey camouflage style pattern. Part of outfit for Look 2 of James's graduate collection.

            The helmet was purchased by James and used as a base. He then applied seam seal tape to the seams on the hat on the outer, finished rim with reflective camo cotton (same as smock) and threaded with chain and long extra long handmade leather tassels in green, khaki and lime. The crown of the hat was finished with an extra large brass door knob.

            Black wool 'opera' top hat which is collapsible. It has a black grosgrain ribbon around the bottom of the crown and the brim is trimmed in black silk grosgrain. There is a wide band of black grosgrain silk lining the inside of the crown near the brim, the top part is lined in black silk satin. The crown is held up by collapsible metal frame and springs. The inside top of the crown is printed in gold with a design of a crown over a ribbon with: Established 1826 / Mander / and Allender / Best London / 5 and 7. / DALE STREET, / LIVERPOOL Mander and Allender
