Terms of Reference: responsible for the maintenance of academic standards; to advise on submission of course schemes for approval and validation; to ensure monitoring and evaluation of maintenance of academic standards; to consider external examiners applications and make recommendations; to review effectiveness of procedures for maintenance of standards within the faculty.

Members: at least 8 but no more than 12 members including the Dean, 1 head of school, 1 faculty member of the Academic Affairs Committee, 2 members of the faculty, 1 student, 2 members of another Faculty Academic Standards Committee, 1 appropriate pro-rector.
