History
The Polytechnic’s Equestrian Society was formerly known as the Polyride society throughout the 70s to 90s. On 17th and 24th November 1972, the polyride society participated in training at Maisemore Riding Centre, Gloucester, which was previously owned by Mr Ted and Mrs Sally Bubb who were the owners of the equestrian establishment. The polyride society was able to subsidise the cost of riding along with providing transportation, full board and lodging training in Gloucester. The Equestrian Society was able to attend many trips throughout the society's existence such as weekend trips to Crabbet Park Equitation Centre in October 1976, and the South Oxfordshire Equitation Centre in February 1977.
