        David Burn was a student on the Polytechnic Diploma of Architecture course. He did the 3-year certificate course from 1965-1968 when the School of Architecture was in Little Titchfield Street, then his practical training year; before returning to complete the Diploma in 1969-1971 when the School had moved to Marylebone Road. David was also active in the Students Union, formed in 1965, becoming Secretary of the Dance Committee, later to become the Entertainments Committee, and arranging the regular programme of concerts in the Portland Hall at Little Titchfield Street.
