            Grey melange herringbone wool coat with a dark green half quilted polyester lining and bound seams. The facing is loose internally. There are two front welt pockets with no internal pocket and four plastic tort buttons down the front. There is also a fifth button located towards the hem and a button stand concealed to allow for closure.

            Black horsehide peacoat worn as part of a Second World War fireman's uniform. It has a high double breasted lapel which fastens to the neckline for protection and has reinforced shoulders and back yoke. It has six silver buttons embossed with 'NFS' on the front which are back stamped with 'Firmin London'. There are two button on the cuff strap which are decorative only. The right side attaches to an adjustable strap on the inside of the jacket with a popper fastening. The jacket is fully lined. There are no labels.

The coat fastens with three buttons (show 6) and has two angled welted pockets at the waist. There is a deep vent in the centre back and it is lined in grey viscose or rayon. The wool tweed is woven in dark grey and light grey with flecks of different colours through it. Factory label inside breast lining pocket.
