      History

      CCIS was an inter-disciplinary research and post-graduate teaching centre within PCL which was established in 1985 and officially opened by the Secretary of State for Education in 5 May 1987. It was succeeded in the 2000s by the Communication and Media Research Institute (CAMRI) based in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication in the Faculty of Media, Arts and Design.
