            Pair of white cotton boxer shorts with a wide double layered waist band which fastens centre front with three white plastic buttons. On each side of the waistband are white cotton tape ties which have been sewn in the centre - they loop through two eyelet holes to tighten the waist. The fly below the buttons is open. The back of the shorts are made of three panels, the seams are run and fell with double stitching. Stamped inside the back waist is '32' in black ink. Possibly military deadstock. Designer unknown

            Cream wool knit underwear with cream calico cotton yoke. The underwear fastens centre front with three cream plastic buttons and has two attached cotton straps on each side of the waist for adjustment. They are fitted and come down to mid thigh with a deep rib knit band around the hem and a gusset at the crotch. There are scratch marks on the buttons and some stains.             White lightweight woven cotton 'athletic union suit' underwear. It is a one-piece garment, sleeveless with a V-neck and scoop back, opens down the centre front and fastens with five white buttons. There is a flap opening at the back which fastens with one white button. Inserted at the back waist is cream cotton knitted jersey rib with two wide belt loops, the straps of the vest part are made of white cotton knitted jersey ribbing. Between the top and second button has been printed with 'PAT' and numbers (indecipherable). Makers label in the back of the neck. B.V.D.

            Dark red (burgundy) synthetic fabric tie with a woven pattern of widely spaced angled fine white stripes. The tie has been tied into a knot at the top, at the back is a metal clip allowing it to be attached to a shirt. The bottom end of the tie widens and finishes in a point. At the wider end of the tie is a small circular woven logo in dark red with UNIVERSITY OF WESTMINSTER LONDON around the outside of a shield containing the coat of arms of the university including a portcullis.             White cotton long sleeved shirt with narrow stand collar and bib front. It fastens with a concealed button placket front and seven small plastic buttons and has deep cuffs which fasten with two buttons each. The curved bib front has been topstitched with unfinished raw edges, except at the shoulders where it has been sewn into the shoulder seams. The flock print begins below the hips following a curved line matching the front of the suit jacket. They fasten centre front with a button fly and have rounded cut away pockets at the front hips. It is single breasted, has a narrow collar and lapel with a high break line. It fastens with three black plastic buttons and has two angled flapped pockets at the hips. It has deep vents at the cuffs (no fastenings) and a centre back vent.
