            Black wool single breasted vest or waistcoat - part of a three-piece suit. It has a v-neck and fastens down the front with six black buttons. It has four slanted pockets - two chest and two at waist. The fronts were pointed but have been altered by taking up the points to the underside and stitching. The back is made of black cotton sateen and has a back strap with a black japanned two prong metal buckle with 'BRITISH' embossed into it. It is lined in cream striped cotton. There is a factory label on the inside of the left top pocket.

            Grey olive cotton canvas parka coat with brown sheepskin shearling collar and cream sheepskin lining (possibly another type of fur also). Fastens centre front with six buttons and tab loops. Two large map pockets at hips which close with a flap and three buttons. Various Stamps in black ink on the inside including '2' [size]; 'KROMHALDT 2.7%'; 'OREBRO SPORT / BILEKPERING'. Also a sewn on white label with black text: Malsakrad / FALO

            Olive green cotton field jacket shell with four patch pockets, draw string at waist and around the bottom hem, and buttoned shoulder epaulettes. Fastens with a heavy metal 'TALON' zip and snap fastners. Stamped label and plastic buttons around the inside of the jacket show it would have been worn with a separate lining and hood.             Navy blue double breasted pea coat fastening with six buttons and six button holes. The buttons are large navy blue plastic with an anchor and rope design (the navy fouled anchor) etched into them. They have four holes and they are sewn on with a 'Z' stitch. There are two additional buttons under the turn down collar allowing the lapels, which have button holes, to be buttoned over. It has two vertical inset pockets at the hips which are lined in cream cotton corduroy. The coat is lined in black rayon and has a makers label, a paper tag stapled to the lining with 'T2-39' handwritten on it, and 'THOMPSON S. L. 418 54 55' stencilled in white in three places on the lining.

            Navy blue wool sailors pullover or jumper with large square collar which is embroidered with two white five pointed stars. The collar, lapels and cuffs are trimmed with three rows of white braid. Each cuff fastens with two navy blue plastic buttons engraved with an anchor and rope design (the navy foulded anchor). The left shoulder has a square patch badge with a motif of an eagle embroidered in white thread over the insignia for an aviation electionics technician (two overlapped ovals with wings, two stars and four dots) and two red chevrons. Lower down the left arm is a navy blue patch badge with two red diagonal stripes. On the right shoulder is a badge with 'CARAEWRON 12' (Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron) in white stitching. Under the collar at the back of the neck is a square cotton makers label - the printing has faded away - handwritten on it is 'THOMPSON'. It has 'SLT' stencilled in white on the inside back neck. There is a small inset pocket on the left breast. The pullover is worn with the medal and black tie.
