              Khaki green/brown riding breeches with green inner leg inserts. They feature lower leg velcro openings, a zip fly front and two waist pockets. There are 6 inner waist buttons for braces. The waist measures 31", inside leg 27.5. There are some marks on the inner leg inserts

              Green rough wool tweed knickerbockers or breeches with velcro tabs to fasten the cuffs under the knee. The wool tweed has a green and fawn ground with window overcheck in orange and brown. They fasten with an 'OPTI' zip fly and a metal hook and bar. The waistband has belt loops and they have angled hip pockets and one jetted pocket to the right back which fastens with a button and loop. The pockets are lined in white cotton (inners discoloured) and the waistband is lined with a 'grip' band.

              Khaki breeches in a heavy wool fabric. The breeches are front fastening via six khaki-coloured, plastic buttons on a concealed button placket. Six more buttons can be found at the waistband to enable braces to be attached. A further two buttons are located just below the waistband at the rear. On each side of the fly at the front of the trousers sits a type of slanted pocket known as a frogmouth pocket. Below the pocket on the right side is a first field dressing pocket. This is a box pleated, patch pocket [currently stitched closed] with a button fastening. The breeches are cut wide above the knees and tapering tight from the knee downwards. Reinforced patches made of cotton moleskin are sewn using dark, contrasting stitching, to the inner lower thighs. The calf opening [cuff] of each leg also features two matching buttons. The hem of each leg is trimmed with a hard wearing, cotton fabric in a lighter coloured khaki. The trousers are unlined. On the inside of the waistband is stamped the 'Broad Arrow mark' consisting of "W / [upwards pointing arrow] / D / 11." British Army

              Pair of pale yellow wool facecloth (woven wool with a felted nap) breeches. They have a fall front. The front flap is fastened to the waist part of the breeches with two small self covered buttons. The front waist opens down the centre under the fall front and fastens at the fly with one small self covered button. At the top it fastens with three larger self covered buttons (visible when the front flap is buttoned). On each side are two additional self covered buttons. On the right side of the waist is a small welted pocket, there are two additional pockets at hip level with wide openings and uneven welts.

              The rear of the breeches are gathered to the wide waistband with a V-notch in the centre back. The V is filled with a section of off-white linen or cotton with a pinked edge at the top. There are two wide tabs sewn on to the waistband for waist adjustment, one with a wide buttonhole.

              The leg openings of the breeches fasten with six self covered buttons and tabs at the cuffs. The inside of the bottom hems are lined with pink velvet to hold stockings in place. The breeches are lined in off white linen or cotton around the waistband, pocket bags, fall front and inside leg buttoning openings.

              Breeches made of suede (buff leather) with a fall front opening and entirely hand stitched in pink thread. The fall front has two button holes and back of the waist is high with a V shaped notch and leather lacing. They have buttons for braces. They fasten with a range of different buttons. These include eight brass buttons by Thomas and Sons, 32 Brook Street W. One smaller button at the waist by Huntsman London W and one vegetable ivory by Strong Brothers, Moreton. Each cuff fastens with five mother of pearl shell buttons.

              Corduroy Farming Breeches

              Green cotton corduroy breeches. The knees have been patched with sections of two shades of brown corduroy. Label on the inside back pocket lining 'BAXI Guarantee These pockets will be replaced should they wear out before the trousers' with an illustration of a bird. They fasten centre front with a button fly and have white buttons on the inside of the waist for braces. The cuffs fasten with seven small brown buttons on each leg. Two pockets in the front and one at the back which fastens with a button, all made of cream cotton. The lining of the right one has been cut off. Previously worn by (Richard) James Lovett Turner (1921-2004) for farming.

              Fall front breeches in a black silk fabric. Breeches have black button fastenings to the waistband. and laces at the back. At the waist there is a horizontal pocket on each side of the opening. There is also a smaller, horizontal, watch pocket. Four, small, steel cut buttons are found at the cuff of each leg. Unknown
