History
Fencing master at the Polytechnic Fencing Club. Born in Sátoraljaújhely, Hungary in 1908, Bela Imregi trained as a fencing coach at the Honvéd Club, Budapest. Following the suppression of the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 Imregi moved to London and became an instructor at the Polytechnic in 1958 where he continued to teach until his retirement in 1991. Imregi's notable students at the Polytechnic included the Olympians John Deanfield and Stephen Netburn.
