            Named after Herbert Henry GAYLER, Secretary of the PCC and leading competitor who was killed in India during World War I. The gold cup was purchased by Polytechnic subscription as a memorial to all Club members who died in the War. It was awarded to the winner of a 12 hour open race on the North Road. First awarded to M G S SELBACH in 1919. Last recipient was J E MARSHALL in 1969. See Polytechnic Cycling Club Gazette July 1919.

            Silver shield. First awarded to F H HABBERFIELD along with the 'Lord Elgin' cup for 5 miles Path Championship in 1928. HABBERFIELD won the shield again in 1929.

            Heavy metal laurel wreath plaque dedicated to Frank Parks by the Polytechnic Boxing Club as a token of admiration by his many friends for his high example and untiring effort for the welfare of this club for 52 years. The Polytechnic Magazine of December 1946 reports on the unveiling of the plaque by Neil Hogg in the Club Room. Money was raised by Poly members following Frank's death in May 1945.
