        History

Aikido is a Japanese form of self defence which focuses on the coordination of the mind and body. The first mention of the Aikido Society was through a list of the sports societies in the McGarel in January 1976. The society had training on Mondays at 8pm-9.30pm, and occasionally on Sunday mornings at the Renown Aikido Society in West Drayton. They are also listed in 1980's Gen: Welcome to the Target Zone
