President of Young Women's Institute, Governor between at least 1932-1942.The Elsie Hoare Trophy for the best athletic performance, or series of athletic performances, by an individual or team [at the Polytechnic Young Women's Institute] during the previous twelve months was named after her by JEK Studd in gratitude for her work as the president of the Young Women's Institute. The silver trophy was first awarded in 1938 to celebrate the Jubilee of the Young Women's Institute.
