First came to the Regent Street Polytechnic in 1914 as the Art School's Modelling Master. Under his expert guidance the Sculpture Section of the Art School flourished and many successes in scholarships and exhibitions were gained by his students. In 1938 he was appointed Head of the Art

Studied at the Polytechnic School of Art from 1917-1924. Won a Polytechnic sliver medal for Figure Composition in 1922. Painted the Tapestry Weaving painting in Fyvie Hall.

He later worked as an illustrator, before writing children’s books. His first book, A Valley Grows Up won a Carnegie Medal in 1954. During World War Two he produced posters for the Ministry of Information including 'Wings for Victory More Savings More Wings' and '"Saving Life at Sea" Exhibition'.
Astrid Andersen

Astrid Andersen is a Danish menswear designer who graduated from the MA Fashion Menswear course at the Royal College of Art in 2010. In 2011, Andersen held her first independent show in Copenhagen as well as London's Fashion East menswear installations for A/W 11. She continues to work in her design studio in Copenhagen, before showing in London.
