The third volume of a series of books on general architecture. It consists of books X-XII comprising numerous chapters on public buildings and decorations. The focus is on the main types of public edifices (commercial venues, public bathrooms, theatres, railways), religious institutions (churches, monasteries, mosques, synagogues), funerary and commemorative constructions (tombs, steles, tomb stones) and their characteristics. The texts are accompanied by various drawings, photographs, plans, elevations and sections, some to scale.
